Data Centers in Rice County: A Town Hall, with a City Council Candidate Open House to Follow

  • Buckham Memorial Library 11 Division St. E Faribault, MN 55021 United States (map)

Large data centers are arriving across Minnesota, and the only local power we have to protect Rice County is through the county and the city governments. Health and safety concerns, water use, electricity demand, noise, and air quality are all concerns our neighbors have about data centers.

Our current elected officials have not protected us from these potentially hazardous data centers.

Join Sam Temple, candidate for Rice County Commissioner District 3, for a presentation on what data centers mean for Faribault and what authority local government actually has to set standards and protect residents.

A town hall with Temple will follow, first on data centers, then open to any question you bring.

Afterward, stay to meet candidates running for Faribault City Council, including Lexi Temple. All City Council candidates are encouraged to attend and meet voters in this open house.

Monday, July 6, 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Buckham Memorial Library, Great Hall.
